Wanda Fay Parks

Wanda Brock Parks, age 87 of Midwest City, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2016, at the Medical Park West Nursing Home in Norman. Wanda Fay Pricer was born December 16, 1928 in Floydada, TX to Albert Taylor Pricer and Velva Arletta (Teal) Pricer. She was raised in Floydada and attended school there. Wanda married her 1st love and high school sweetheart John Henry Brock. They settled in Del City where together they raised 3 children, son, Barry and daughters, Darlene and Vanda. Wanda worked various jobs, mainly in production and machinery. Her greatest joy however was being a homemaker, caring and providing for her family. After John passed, she later married Walter Parks and they made their home in Midwest City. Wanda and Walter enjoyed traveling, especially in the RV, and she never missed an opportunity to see the mountains. She was a gifted artist, who enjoyed crafting and eagerly looked forward to entering her creations in the State Fair every year. She loved OU, and was an avid Sooner Football supporter. Wanda was a longtime and faithful member of the First Southern Baptist Church Del City and more recently Woodland Hills Baptist Church in Newcastle. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and a good friend to many. She will be dearly missed! She was preceded in death by: Her husbands, John Henry Brock and Walter Parks; Her parents, Albert and Velva Pricer and Her sister, Shirley Pricer. Wanda leaves behind: Her son, Barry Brock and wife Julie of Tuttle; Daughters, Darlene Boatright and husband Glenn of Blanchard and Vanda Quinn and husband Rodney of OKC; 6 grandchildren, Angela, Susan, Chris, Cassie, Hope and Heather; 9 great grandchildren, Joshua, Tommy, Brandon, Austin, Taylor, Elizabeth, Morgan, Braxton and Zackary; 3 great greats, Ari, Shay and Declan; A sweet little dog - Jack. And a host of other family and friends. Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 20, 2016, at the Woodland Hills Baptist Church in Newcastle.
