W. Wayne Paddock

PADDOCK W. Wayne, age 64, of Del City, OK, born Feb. 10, 1935, in Caddo, OK, and called to heaven on March 15, 1999. Wayne was dedicated and devoted to his God, his family and in helping others. Wayne is survived by his wife, Billie, of 43 years; their sons, Mike Paddock & wife, Pam, Del City & Don Paddock & wife, Sonya, Jefferson City, MO; 5 grandchildren, Shanna, Sean, Brandon, Cassandra & Madison Paddock; sister, Edythe Burchfield, Durant, OK; brother, W.E. (Bill) Paddock & wife, Billie Ann,Durant, OK. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, William H. & Gertrude Paddock; brother, Lloyd Paddock; sisters, Dorothy Mullens, Juanita White & Effie Behrens. Wayne attended school in Durant and graduated from Durant High School and attendedclasses at Southeastern State College. He then served a tour of duty with the US Army and was discharged with a rank of E5. Wayne and family moved to the Okla. City area where he started a career at Tinker Field retiring in 1988. In 1965, he joined theMasonic Fraternity and as in all his endeavors, Wayne became a leader, working through the Blue Lodge and becoming a Master of the Del City Masonic Lodge in 1970. Wayne continued working in the fraternity, becoming a Scottish Rite Mason and joining the I ndia Shrine. Wayne served Guthrie Scottish Rite as Master of Kadosh and received the honor of 33rd Degree. Being a leader, Wayne continued working in a facet of masonry and devoted his energy and time in the area of helping the program in the shrine. After serving in many units, Wayne was elected Potentate of India Temple in 1985 continuing his work with the Blue Lodge and Scottish Rite. Wayne also served as business manager and recorder of the India Shrine. Wayne and Billie joined the Sunny Lane UnitedMethodist Church in Del City and attended Don Reynold's Sunday School Class. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 18, Sunny Lane United Methodist Church followed by a Masonic graveside service at Sunny Lane Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home to receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to Sunny Lane United Methodist Church, 2020 S. Sunnylane, Del City, OK 73115 or to the India Temple Children's Traveling Frozen Account, India Temple, 3601 NW 36th, OKC 73112. Everyone who came in contact with Wayne was touched in a special way.
