Betty Jean (Tinoco) Martinez

Thursday, June 28, 1934 - Saturday, January 18, 2020

Betty Jean (Tinoco) Martinez, 85, of Oklahoma City, OK passed away on January 18, 2020. She was born June 28, 1934 to Otto and Lillie Bailey in Oklahoma City, OK. Betty married Joe Pat Tinoco on October 6, 1951 who was her first husband and father of her children. She loved Mexican music and was the coordinator of the Mexican American Band that Joe was in. She really loved being the coordinator of the band because she loved taking care of them. Betty and Joe were married for 46 years before he passed away in 1997. Betty loved dancing and met her second husband, Jose Antonio Martinez, at a VFW dance. They were then married in June of 2000. She loved animals, especially her dog, Shiloh and cat, Baby Martinez. Betty enjoyed her days sitting outside and watching people, she was very much a people person. She liked going to the casino, to Mexican dances, working puzzles and out to eat. She also loved attending church on Sunday’s before becoming ill. Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. She adored her grandchildren and shared a special bond with her great grandson, Caleb. Above all, she just loved her family and friends and will be greatly missed by all.
Betty was preceded in death by her:
Parents;
First husband and father of her children, Joe Pat Tinoco;
Grandson, Ryan Patrick Argo;
Sister, Goldie Byus;
Brother, Otto Wayne Bailey.
She is survived by her loving:
Husband, Jose Antonio Martinez;
Son, Tommy Tinoco and wife, Becky;
Daughters, Rita Houston and husband, Don, Norma Tiller and husband, Joe;
Grandchildren, Tommy Ray, Christi, Billy Joe, Dustin, Erica, Holly;
Great Grandchildren, Alicia, Sarah Ann, Bri, Cierra, Jacob, Gracie;
Great Great Grandchildren, Caleb and Rayden;
And numerous step- children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
