John Mantooth

January 10, 1940 - July 30, 2008

John "Butch," Mantooth 68, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2008 after a lengthy illness. He was born Jan. 10, 1940 to Rhondle B. and Freda Mantooth. He was an inspector for natural gas pipeline construction and traveled around the world with his work, and was a longtime member of the Masons. John loved his work and his many friends that he had across the country, and was an avid OU football fan. He is survived by his wife, Marcie; one step-son, Brett Harder of Oklahoma City; one grandson, Brock Harder of Oklahoma City; three sisters, Rhonda and husband Dick Craig of Enid, Tammy Green of Anchorage, AL, and Loretta Jarvis of Blackwell; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Billy Joe Mantooth. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, August 1, 2008 at Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel with interment at Sunny Lane Cemetery, Del City.
