Gene Linville

January 7, 1930 - April 12, 2021

Elmon "Gene" Eugene Linville, 91 of Del City, died Monday, April 12, 2021. He’s now in the loving arms of Jesus in his new home and his new body in heaven. In heaven he’s reunited with his wife Billie Jean, sons Johnny and Billy, sister "Delmon" Dusty Cram and his parents Carl and Elsie Linville. Gene was born in Muse, Oklahoma, on January 7, 1930, and eventually moved to Bay City, Texas where he met Billie. They were married in 1948 and celebrated over 68 years of marriage until Billie's death in 2017. Gene served in the United States Army as a mechanic/welder from 1953-1955. Gene established BJ Body Works in Del City in 1963. He worked alongside many of his cherished employees, as well as his wife, for over 30 years. Gene gave his life to the Lord and was baptized in Heavener, Oklahoma, as a young boy. Gene leaves behind four generations of family including daughters Lynda, Debbie (Kenny), Leda and daughter-in-law Suzy. He has 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. Gene's great passion in life was helping anyone in need, especially his children and grandchildren. Many times, he fixed their cars, whether at the body shop or in his garage at home. However, there were always words of wisdom, free of charge, before we ever got our cars back. This was Dad's, Grandpa's and Gene's way of telling you he loved you. He will be forever loved and missed. Viewing will be on Thursday, April 15, from 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM, at Barnes Friederich Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM, Friday, April 16, 2021 at Sunnylane Family Church, 4221 S.E. 41st St. Del City, OK. Interment will be at Sunny Lane Cemetery, Del City, OK.
