Constance S. Hicks

April 8, 1936 - April 13, 2020

Constance "Connie" Hicks, 84, slipped quietly away on Monday, April 13, 2020 to join loved ones already with Jesus. She was born April 8, 1936 to Frances and Calvin Dunham in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She graduated in 1955 from Central High School. Then married Ralph "Wes"ley Hicks, Jr. on August 24, 1956. After five brief years in Arkansas as a Corps of Engineers wife, Connie, with Wes, raised two children and volunteered whole-heartedly with Camp Fire and Boy Scouts in Midwest City, Oklahoma. She touched the lives of many children with crafting, cooking, and camping. During early retirement years, Connie could be found crocheting and crafting away or RVing around the south. Later she stayed close to home to help with the raising of the grandkids.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Larry Dunham, and first grandchild, Sabrina Brown. Left behind to carry on are her children, Carrie & Michael Brown and Mark Hicks & Alesha; grandchildren, Zachary & Alyssa Brown, Mark "Keith" Jr. & Skyla Hicks, Kensi & Justin Jackson, William Hicks, and Joesif Hicks. Also missing our game-playing Gma are great grands, John & JaeLynn, Jayson, JJ, Zoey, & Coby, Dakota & Kolson. Graveside funeral will be at Sunnylane Cemetery on Saturday, April 18, 2020.
