Ethel Loreen Harrington

January 25, 1928 - March 12, 2014

Ethel Loreen Harrington, age 86, of McLoud, OK, was born January 25, 1928, in Stonewall, OK. She was the daughter of Johnson Futischa & Harriet (Bonham) Ledbetter. She was raised by her mother and step-father, Loren Ledbetter. She left this life on Wednesday, March 12, 2014, in McLoud, OK. Ethel married George Harrington on March 3, 1947, in Ft. Smith, AR. She lived in the Harrah & McLoud area since 1974. She was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church, McLoud, OK. Ethel was a homemaker and her hobbies included fishing, crocheting, raising her vegetable & flower gardens and she loved to cook. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, George and one sister. Survivors include her son, Kenneth Harrington, Del City, OK; 4 daughters & sons-in-law, Patsy & Richard Blemmel, McLoud, OK, Genevieve Williams, Del City, OK, Shirley & Kenneth Bailey, McLoud, OK, Kathern & Bernie Freeman, McLoud, OK; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Services will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 15, 2014, at the Emmanuel Baptist Church, McLoud, OK. Interment will follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery, Del City, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith-Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
