Nathan B. Graves

November 29, 1971 - January 24, 2017

Nathan B. Graves, Chandler, Oklahoma, resident, was born November 29, 1971, in Midwest City, Oklahoma, and departed this life January 24, 2017, in Stroud, Oklahoma, at the age of 45 years. Nathan was the son of Dwayne and Pam (Brown) Graves. He grew up in Midwest City, Oklahoma, and graduated from Midwest City High School in 1990. Nathan married Janet Keene on September 14, 1998, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He worked in law enforcement for many years. Nathan was a current Tribal Police Officer with the Sac & Fox Nation, and was a former Stroud Police officer. His hobbies included, riding motorcycles, fishing with his boys, and collecting police patches. He was a HUGE OSU FAN, awesome cook, and for awhile was a stay at home dad. Nathan loved his family and fellow officers in blue, he truly had a servants heart. His brother, Jeffery Graves, and Grandfather, John D. Graves preceded Nathan in death. Survivors include, his wife Janet of the home; six children, Wendy Ann Graves of August, Georgia, Matthew Thomas Rupert of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Caleb Rupert Graves of Moore, Oklahoma, Annie Rose Graves-Morrill of Waynoka, Oklahoma, Jonathan Levi Graves of Augusta, Georgia, and Jacob Luke Graves of Chandler, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren, Gabriel, Serenity, Talen, Camden, Brayden, Amberlynn, Malachi and Lucas; parents, Dwayne and Pam Graves of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one sister, Laura Atterbury of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; close family friend, Brad Patterson; other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM, Saturday, January 28, 2017, at the First Baptist Church in Chandler, Oklahoma, with Pastor Mark Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Sunnylane Cemetery, in Del City, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, Oklahoma. Viewing for family and friends, Thursday January 26, 2017 11am-8pm... Viewing for family and friends, Friday January 27, 2017 9am-8pm... The family will greet friends at the funeral home, Friday January 27, 2017 6pm-8pm.
