Lois Mildred Chappell

August 10, 1932 - August 8, 2022

Lois Mildred Chappell went to the Lord at almost 90 years old on August 8, 2022, in Edmond, Oklahoma. Lois was born on August 10, 1932, in Lanier, Alabama. She was born to Lucille Frances Caldwell and Walter Daniel Hudson. Leta M. Knight and Ann A. Hudson, her beloved sisters, preceded her in death.
After graduating from High School she joined the Air Force and served for 3 years at Lackland and Lowery Air Force Bases from 1952-1954. This is when she met and married her husband, Calvin M. Chappell who was also in the Air Force. They wed on December 5, 1953, in Roswell, New Mexico. While in the Air Force they traveled and lived in several states and also lived overseas in Germany.
In 1986 she and Calvin owned and operated a medical supply store, Apple Medicine, in Midwest City. Lois continued the specialty bra and breast prosthesis part of the business, Bosom Friend, for 30 plus years until she was 89 years old. She was a master seamstress and was able to custom fit the bras for her clients. She saw this as a calling, a service for them and took great joy in it.
Lois is survived by her children Barbara Chappell, Burt Chappell and Brenda Chappell; 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
