Earla Jean Cawood

July 28, 1944 - December 11, 2012

Earla Jean (Jeannie) Cawood, Midwest City, was born July 28, 1944 in Oklahoma City to Dorothy and Earl Teel and began her eternal life December 11th. A talented artist, she attended art schools in Oklahoma and California before becoming a graphic artist for TG&Y, later joining American Fidelity Assurance, retiring in 1996. She also was co-owner with sister, Sandra of a graphics art company. She loved life and God's beauty, especially the ocean, walking along the seashore, picking up sand dollars and shells. She is preceded by her parents and sister, Patsy, step-son Richard Cawood, step-daughter Robin Cawood, and survived by husband Bill, daughter Leska Gilbert and husband Aaron, son Desi Mendell, step-daughter Rhonda Perrin, grandchildren Malachi, Vivian and Elijah Gilbert, Chris and Kayla Cawood, and Michael Perrin and two great-grandchildren, Jordan and Tony Cawood, sister Sandra Boules and husband Allen, sister-in-law Mary Frisbie, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will be from 6- 8 P.M. Thursday at the Funeral Home, Services are 12 P.M. Friday at Covenant Community Church, 2250 North Yukon Parkway, Yukon, burial following at Sunny Lane Cemetery in Del City.
