Ola Beck Bottoms

December 7, 1924 - January 17, 2017

Ola Beck "Becky" Bottoms, 92 year-old resident of Del City, Oklahoma, passed away January 16, 2017 at her home in Del City, Oklahoma. Born December 7, 1924 in DeKalb, Texas, she was the daughter of Hartwell Clay Evans and Carmen Ercell (Harrison) Evans. Becky loved reading biographies and historical books; crocheting; and being the family caregiver. She had crocheted more than one afghan for most of her 115 descendants, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Becky had worked for many years for the State of Oklahoma as a Registered Nurse who inspected nursing homes around the state. She was preceded in death by her parents, 12 siblings, her husband, James, and 1 daughter, Rebecca Bottoms. Survivors include 6 sons, Darryl and his wife Teresa Bottoms of Bethany, OK; Roger and his wife Lynette Bottoms of Yukon, OK; Daniel and his wife Dianna Bottoms of OKC, OK; James Bottoms of OKC; Jonathan and his wife Theresa Bottoms of OKC, OK; and Christopher and his wife Christine Bottoms of Del City; 1 daughter, Cynthia Bessette of Minneapolis, MN; 31 grandchildren; and 84 great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. A family visitation will be held at Bill Eisenhour Southeast Funeral Home, 5005 SE 29th, Del City, OK 73115 from 4-8 p.m. Friday, January 27 and 8-10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 28, 2017. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Midwest City Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 110 Morningside Drive, with burial to follow at Sunnylane Cemetery, Del City, Oklahoma.
