Rolla Barnett

June 7, 1931 - August 6, 2013

Rolla Barnett, 82 passed away Aug. 6, 2013. He was born and raised in Fairview, OK on June 7, 1931. He served in the Korean War, and then graduated from OSU with a Bachelor's degree in Geology. He worked for several oil companies before working as a Bridge Engineer at ODOT. He loved his wife's chocolate sheet cake, was impressed with history, and played poker with a bunch of friends almost every Friday evening. He leaves behind his wife Debbie of 34 years; daughter Marcheta; 4 grandchildren, Tanner, Hannah, Jaylie, and Madison; nieces and nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his son Dorian Ralph Barnett and grandson David Barnett, brothers and sisters, Ralph, Carl, Mildred, Lela and Della. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him, especially his granddaughters Hannah and Madison, wife and daughter. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, August 9, 2013 at Choctaw Church of the Nazarene. Interment will follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery.
