Resurrection Memorial Cemetery was established by the Brotherhood of St. Joseph, on 36 acres of land. The floor of the round Chapel is in the shape of a cross, the seating forming this shape. Arch Bishops are entombed in the Chapel.There is a Veteran's Memorial in the cemetery; it also has three Mausoleums as well as a Columbarium used for cremations.At certain times of the year, parish members do tours of the fourteen Stations of the Cross, within a section of this cemetery, which depicts Jesus' journey to the cross.There are eight victims of the April 19, 1995 Oklahoma City bombing on these beautiful grounds, and victims of the first World Trade Center in New York City in the 1990's. Former Governor David Walter's son is buried here and many well known Catholics who have impacted our City and State of Oklahoma.In 1965, the Carmelite nuns who were buried in the Catholic section of Fairlawn Cemetery were brought over to a section of Resurrection Cemetery. When the Carmelite Monastery on N. County line in Oklahoma City built their cemetery in 1989, the sisters who were buried at Resurrection were removed to this new Carmelite of St. Joseph Cemetery.{Information obtained from OK County Cemetery Index - compiled by OK County HCE Genealogy Group, page 89.}
