ALBERTA MAUDE PARKER JOHNSON

ALBERTA MAUDE 'PARKER' JOHNSON, the daughter of Albert Parker and Maude 'Beatty' Parker, was born in Perth, Sumner County, Kansas, on April 3, 1904. She lived on a farm with two brothers, Roland and Jesse, and three sisters, Verna, Mildred, and Madge. In 1914, at age 10, the family moved from Kansas to Oklahoma City where she finished her schooling. Her marriage to Homer Coleman Johnson produced 8 children; Thomas Coleman; Richard Wiley; Michael R.; Sandra Jean; Dennis Lee; Jerry Franklin; Nancy Sue; and Theodore Joseph. Alberta died in Oklahoma City, on August 1, 1995. She is buried next to her husband, Homer, in Memorial Park cemetery, Oklahoma City, OK.

JOHNSON, Alberta M., 91, died Tuesday, Aug. 1, 1995. Born April 3, 1904, to Albert & Maude Parker near Perth, KS. She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer C. Johnson and sons, Michael and Richard Johnson. Survived by children, Thomas Johnson & Wanda, Sandra Laxson & Travis, Dennis Johnson & Kathy, Jerry Johnson & Guinny, Nancy Dickerson & Dale, Ted Johnson & Sue, all of OKC; 23 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren; sisters, Mildred McCaleb of Apopka, FL. & Madge English of Richardson, TX. Mrs. Johnson was a longtime member of Southwest Church of Christ where services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 3, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Mercy Hospice or Southwest Church of Christ. GUARDIAN MIDTOWN, 1133 N. Robinson, 232-9292.
