Valerie Kay Wilkson

May 9, 1962 - October 23, 2016

Valerie Kay Wilkson, 54, was born May 9, 1962 in Kingsburg, California to Alfred Ray Smothers and Ella Mae Thomas. She passed away together with her husband October 23, 2016 at their home in Luther.
Ron and Kay were great parents to their four children. They loved their grandchildren who were the light of their lives. Kay was known for her work at the Luther Cafe where she was loved by all, she never met a stranger. They together often joked about who would leave this life first and what the other was to do in their absence. In the end, they both got their wish and were able to go to heaven together.
Kay is survived by her parents, Alfred Ray Smothers and Ella Mae (Thomas); siblings, Butch Smothers of Chandler, Andy Smothers of Sparks, Vickie Henninger of Stroud, and Janet Hicks of Wellston. Together Ron and Kay were preceded in death by their grandbabies, Jesse Wilkson and Rozie Wilkson. They are survived by their children, Donald Wilkson of Ada, Cassie Sproul of Paden, Shawn Wilkson of Luther, Evelyn Prince of Luther; (23) grandchildren; other family and many friends.
A funeral will be held at 2:00 Friday, October 28, 2016 at the Luther Auditorium with burial following at a later date in the Luther Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
