Cathryn Othello Miller Nayfa
Mercer - Adams Funeral Service

Cathryn Othello Miller Nayfa was born September 26, 1915, in Glynnings, Kentucky, the 7th of 9 children to Gatton & Addie Donna (Hedgepeth) Miller. She left this earthly life June 11, 2000.
She graduated from Putnam City High School in 1933 and Blackwood Business College. She was co-owner of the Tip Top Cafe located in downtown OKC and was a licensed broker in real estate. She married Charles M. Nayfa and together they operated several business ventures. Known as Kitty, Kate, Cathryn & Granny, she was more comfortable with elegance rather than luxury, refinement instead of fashion. Her passion was her family to whom she generously gave of herself, and her Song of Life were her grandchildren to whom she was completely devoted.
Kitty was involved in Camp-Fire and Boy Scout organizations, a member of The Village Methodist Church and the Delta Zeta Sorority. She faced death as she faced life, with a sense of humor, dignity and her faith in God. She instilled in her family the power ofknowledge, the importance of love, and the value of family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 3 sisters, and 2 brothers.
She is lovingly survived by her daughter, Donna K. Burn, son-in-law, Robert C. Burn, grandchildren, Charles of Fayetteville, NC, Melissa of Philadelphia, PA & Laurie Cathryn Fair of the home, step grandchildren Robert L. Burn and wife Theresa and step great grandchildren Bradley & Leslie Marie of Ft. Worth, TX, step grandchildren Karen & Todd Hudiburg and stepgreat grandchildren Stephan & Dylan. She is also survived by brothers Roscoe Miller, Robert Miller, and a sister Helen A. Musgrove, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
The family wish to express their gratitude to Elizabeth Wickersham, MD, James Males, MD, and the wonderful nurses of the Good Shepherd Hospice for their compassionate care of their Mother and Grandmother during her illness.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to American Cancer Society, 4323 N.W. 63, OKC, 73116,Voice of the Retarded, or American Diabetes Society, 1211 N. Shartel, OKC 73103.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 14, 2000, at Fairlawn Cemetery, OKC.
