Wilma "Faye" Wylie

May 15, 1930 - October 5, 2020

Wilma Faye Wylie, known as Wilma to friends and Faye to family, passed from this life peacefully on 10/5/20. Wilma was born on 5/15/30, in Wolf, OK, to Walter and Eva Ashby, (nee Johnson), as one of their eight children. She married Bedell Wylie on 11/25/47 in Maud, OK.
Shortly after their marriage, Wilma and Bedell moved to Wasco, CA, where their first son, James, was born. Later, they moved to Borger, TX, where their second son, Dennis, was born. In 1959, they moved to MWC, OK. Bedell was hired at Tinker AFB where we worked for many years and Wilma was a homemaker, during which time she was very active in PTA and school activities.
In the 80s, Wilma began her career in retail, first working at Streets, and then Dillard’s, from which she retired. Of all Wilma’s wonderful qualities, her outgoing personality and kind spirit was a joy to anyone who met her. Wilma was always there for her family.
Wilma is preceded in death by her son, Dennis, and her husband, Bedell, as well as her parents and six of her siblings. Wilma is survived by her son and his wife, James and Lynn Wylie, of MWC, and her granddaughter and her husband, Michelle and Robert Holt, and her great-grandson, Brynden Holt, all of Choctaw, OK. Wilma is also survived by her sister, Betty Buchanan, of Bowlegs, OK and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
