Kenneth Wayne Wright

February 26, 1937 - January 22, 2009

Kenneth Wayne 'Ken' Wright, 71, of Choctaw, Oklahoma passed away January 22, 2009 at Midwest City. He was born February 26, 1937 in Oklahoma City to Ben and Ruby Wright. Ken grew up in Jones and began working at a young age. He saw an opportunity to see the country and world and enlisted in the Air Force. He married Billie Cathey on January 15, 1960. Following his time in the Air Force, Ken worked as a mail carrier for 15 years. Most recently he worked as a purchasing agent for a local bank. Ken was a great Christian man, an avid sportsman, and a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. His ability to make those around him feel at ease will be deeply missed. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother and one sister. He is survived by: his wife of 49 years, Billie Wright; daughter, Roxanne Thomason and her husband David; son, Shawn Wright and his wife Heather; grandchildren: Brett and Holly Thomason and Devin and Peyton Wright; one sister, Beverly; a very 'special' aunt, Celestine Williams and a host of other relatives and dear friends. Services will be 10:00 am, Monday, January 26, 2009 at First Baptist Church of Choctaw. Interment will follow at Arlington Memory Gardens.
