Donald Floyd Wingfield

October 12, 1936 - December 8, 2009

Donald F. Wingfield went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 8, 2009. He was born on October 12, 1936 in Elk City, OK to Floyd Luther and Wanda (Reynolds) Wingfield. He was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by: his wife Ouida of the home; four sons: Gary & family of OKC, Geoffery of PA, Glyn & family of Edmond, Gregg of MWC; daughter, Gay Wingfield of MWC; his mother, Wanda of MWC; sister & brother-in-law Karen & Dan Strickland of MWC; brother Damon & sister-in-law Jenny of Edmond; seven grandchildren and one precious great-granddaughter; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Don was a member of FBC of MWC. He was a lifetime member of the UCO Alumni Assoc. He retired from the U.S.A.F. and published in the American Who's Who of Teachers. He spent his time writing western novels. Don loved his family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Assoc. or the FBC of MWC. Services for Don will be 10:00 am, Friday, December 11, 2009 at Barnes Friederich Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Arlington Memory Gardens.
