Joyce E. Wilkinson

Joyce E. Wilkinson was born on November 6, 1934, in Graham, Texas, and departed this life on Wednesday, November 8, 2017, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 83.
Joyce, the daughter of Odie Carl and Opal Myrtle (Upton) Williams, was a long time resident of Paden. After graduating high school, Joyce completed training at business school. She married Sylvain Dwight Wilkinson, on September 29, 1954 in Ardmore, Oklahoma and he preceded her in death on January 30, 2007. Joyce was a beloved mother and was very involved in any activity her kids were involved in when growing up, including Boy Scouts, Brownies and 4H. She continued to be involved in her grandchildren's interests. She also enjoyed flowers, hummingbirds and spending time with her family.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two sons Michael and Jerry.
Joyce is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Richard Wilkinson, of Paden; daughters, Nita Bluford, of Danville, Arkansas and Susan and John Davenport, of Paden; brother and sister-in-law, Carl and Erayna Williams, of Itasca, TX; sister and brother-in-law, Charlotte Vincent and the late Don Vincent, of Navato, CA; grandchildren and spouses, Dakota, and Kelsi Davenport, Zakary and Amanda Davenport, Jakob Davenport, Blakely Davenport, Michael and Sarah Johnson and Jessica Bluford; great grandson Wyatte Davenport and one great grandchild on the way; son-in-law, Chuck Bluford and many other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 13, 2017 at Paden First Baptist Church, at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Terry Pittman officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Arlington Memory Garden in Oklahoma City.
