Linda Sue Whitehead

June 19, 1044 - January 22, 2023

Linda Sue Fullbright Whitehead, 78, passed away January 22nd, 2023, at home surrounded by her family. Linda was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma to James and Ruby Fullbright where she spent the first 7 years of her life. Linda moved to Midwest City in 1950 where she spent the majority of her remaining life with the exception of a few years in San Diego, California. Linda grew up with her younger brother, Mike Fullbright, which included babysitting him while her mother worked. She and her brother had a very close relationship and enjoyed traveling together. She attended Midwest City High School and enjoyed being a member of Pep Club, listening to Elvis records, going to Springlake amusement park and going to Potters Drive-in on Air Depot with her best friend. This is where she met the love of her life, Lawrence Whitehead. At the tender age of 17, they married on June 12th, 1962 and enjoyed 45 years of marriage until his passing in 2007.
Linda is proceeded in death by both her parents, James and Ruby Fullbright and her husband, Lawrence Whitehead. Linda is survived in death by her brother, Mike Fullbright, her son and daughter-in-law David and Pam Whitehead, her daughter and son-in-law, Kimberlee and Jesse Ashley, daughter, Cindy Wills. Linda is survived by 7 Grandchildren: Teddy and Lisa Whitehead, Reno and Alex Ashley, Mandy Everett, Kelli Wills and Kristine Wills Schroeder. Linda is also survived by 10 Great Grandchildren;1 niece Jennifer Moore and 1 nephew Brian Fullbright.
Linda worked at Midwest City Hospital as a Nurse in Labor and Delivery, which she truly loved and took pride in. She also worked at Coke for a short period in the finance department. Linda enjoyed doing her civic duty so she ran for City Council for Del City and won. Linda was a member of the Eastern Star Galilee Chapter. Some of Linda's fondest memories were spending time with her family. She enjoyed all the family get-togethers and her favorite holidays were Thanksgiving and Christmas. She loved cooking with her mom making everyone's favorite dishes and making candy. She absolutely loved her dogs, Jake and Bella. She had a passion for collecting jewelry and clothes. It's no secret that she was QVC's favorite customer. Linda will be dearly missed.
Services will be at 2:00 PM, Monday, January 30th, 2023 at Ford Funeral Home, at 305 S. Sooner Rd., Midwest City, Ok. 73110. Visitation will be Saturday 9a-8p and Sunday 1p-6p at Ford Funeral Home at 305 S. Sooner Rd., Midwest City, Ok.
Interment to be held at Arlington Memory Gardens, 3400 N. Midwest Blvd, OK 73141.
