Robert Williams Walker

December 8, 1927 - September 5, 2009

Walker, Robert (Bob) Williams 81, passed away on September 5, 2009 in MWC. He was born December 8, 1927 in OKC, OK to Paul Atlee and Myra Williams Walker. Bob graduated from the US Navel Academy in 1950. He joined the Air Force working in claims while attended George Washington Law School at night where he later obtained his law degree. He then transferred into the Judge Advocate General Core (JAG). Bob served our country for 21 years, retiring in 1971 as a major. Bob loved history and obtained his Masters in History from Central State University. Bob was an avid OU football fan and he enjoyed working in the business world of stocks and bonds. He was a long-time member of St. Matthew UMC. Bob was preceded in death by: his parents, sister Virginia Walker Norton, brother Paul A. Walker, Jr. He is survived by: his wife Nancy of the home, son Bob Jr., daughters Nancy McElveen and Susan Cullins and husband Clay; sister Julia M. Walker; four grandsons: Conner and Tanner McElveen and Matthew and Walker Cullins; numerous sisters-in-law, several brothers in law, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at St. Matthew United Methodist Church, 300 N. Air Depot, MWC, OK with interment to follow at Arlington Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to your charity of choice.
