Opal Mae (Bourlon) Vermillion

October 31, 1923 ~ July 5, 2004

Opal Mae "Granny" Vermillion was born to Winfred and Lela Bourlon on October 31, 1923, and died July 5, 2004. She married Charles "Chuck" Daniel Vermillion on September 6, 1940.
They raised their children, Danny Lee and Peggy Marie in Chickasha, where Chuck was a heat and air contractor and Opal owned Opal's Flowers Shop and managed the Sand Man Motel and Restaurant. They were members of the First Christian Church of Chickasha. In 1974 , they moved to Choctaw, where Opal retired from Westminster Drug in Nicoma Park.
Opal is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Chuck; brother, Bobby; son, Danny; nephew, Joey; and niece, Bunny.
Opal is survived by daughter, Peggy and Jerry Woodall; grandchildren: Teresa and Tony Tisdell, Stacy and Steve Tamborra, Sherry and Brian Woods, David and Katerina Vermillion, Randy Woodall, Debbie Woodall, and Kim Woodall; great grandchildren: Joie, Jesse, Brittany, Tyler, Caitlin, and Jadyn; daughte r-in-law, Linda Vermillion; brothers: Johnny, Billy Joe, Jimmy, and Dick; sister: Irene Waller; sister-in-law: Irene Waller; sister-in-law: Valys Bourlon; 26 nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, July 8, 2004, under the direction of Ford Funeral Service, at Arlington Memory Gardens.
