Victor Leo Smith

December 12, 1922 - May 22, 2008

Victor Leo Smith, 85 of Midwest City, died May 22, 2008 in Midwest City. Born December 5, 1922 in Meno, Oklahoma to Jake J. and Lydia Smith. He was a long time member of the Free Methodist Church of Midwest City and enjoyed farming as a hobby for most of his adult life. He was inducted into the Army on January 25, 1943 and received an Honorary Discharge on June 26, 1944. After his military service he worked for the federal government and retired at Tinker Air Force Base. Victor was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Ruth Smith and a brother, Calvin Smith. Victor is survived by his sister Ruby Snider of Marion, Ohio, 3 brothers Olen of Edmond and Kenneth and Jake of Enid, Oklahoma, 3 sons Darrell and his wife Shirley of Oklahoma City, Craig of Oklahoma City and Randall and his wife Janie and step-daughter April Wachter of Midwest City, 2 grandchildren Miranda King and her husband Joey of Edmond and Ryan Smith of Midwest City and a great-grand daughter Sydney King of Edmond. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at 11:00 at the Free Methodist Church of Midwest City with interment following at Arlington Memory Gardens.
