Anthony Semore

Anthony "Tony" Semore, of Guthrie, OK, passed away on January 1, 2021. Everyone who knew and loved him called him Pops, Dad, Tony, Tony Bologne or Tito. Tony was born in 1960 in Ft. Smith, AR. One of his proudest accomplishments was earning his GED in his 50's so he could lead by example for his grandkids. He worked hard all of his life and was looked to as a leader in each role he carried. At the time of his departure he worked at Alva Roofing where he gave his all and found a second family in his coworkers. Tony is survived by his beautiful bride of 41 years, Vicky Semore. Daughters Samantha Semore and Audrey Sanford. Son-In-Law Drew Sanford. Two grandchildren (who were his world) Pike and Gray Sanford. Four sisters, two brothers, many cousins, nieces and nephews. And countless bonus kids and grandkids that if you asked Tony were just as close to his heart (you all know who you are). Tony never met a stranger and there was not a person he wouldn't help when in need. Tony loved hard and his smile was contagious. He brought joy wherever he went. Tony knew the Lord as his Savior and is in glory praising our King. Tony's family is grateful to all of the family and friends who have shared in celebrating his life through stories, tears, texts, visits and prayer. The overwhelming outpouring of love and support is a true testament to his life well lived! In lieu of flowers or donations, we ask that you take a moment, an hour or a day to hug your child, grandchild, parent, friend, or make that call and tell your loved ones what they mean to you. Time waits for no one. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, January 7, 2021 at SouthPointe Baptist Church, Guthrie, with Pastor Robby Robbins officiating. Interment will follow at Arlington Cemetery, Spencer, OK. There will be no visitation. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.
