William Marion Sadler

Sadler, William 'Bill' 77 of MWC, our precious husband, father, grandpa, papaw and brother went to his heavenly home on February 19, 2009. Born to Bud and Mae Sadler on September 24, 1931 in Ada, OK. Bill was a member of Ironworkers Local 48 for many years. He loved western movies, especially John Wayne movies. His passion for golf enticed him to help teach lessons, or just give advice to others. Bill worked at John Conrad Golf Course and he was the only one who would willing drive the red tractor also known as the 'monster'. One of Bill's favorite past times was watching his grandchildren participate in sports and coaching the Soldier Creek women's basketball team. Bill was an avid OU fan and enjoyed rooting for his favorite team. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, and fishing with his brother-in-law, Ernest. In the last few years, he loved having his great-grandchildren around him. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter, Angel Lee; 2 brothers, Herbert and Glen; 1 half brother, Roy; infant twin brothers and an infant sister. He is survived by his beloved wife 'Kat' Kathryn of 56 years and two daughters, Carolyn Sanders and husband Bob; Regina Hurst and husband Randy; 4 grandchildren Jennifer, Russell, Ryan and wife Erin, and Rashay and husband Tony; 6 great grandchildren, Mark, Kyle, Levi, Avery, Emma and Rocco; brothers Royal and wife JoAnn and Jim and wife Paula. He is also survived by 3 brother-in-laws and their wives (Dan and Jean, Lee and Nina, Jim and Jackie) and one sister-in-law (Olive) and numerous nieces and nephews. Daddy will be greatly missed by all his family and many friends. Services were held Monday, February 23, 2009 at Barnes Friederich Funeral Home Chapel with interment at Arlington Memory Gardens.
