Wanda Rounsavill

Wanda Rounsavill, age 85 of Purcell, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2016, at the Lexington Nursing Home. Wanda Lee Smith was born May 4, 1930 in Seminole, OK, the oldest of 4 children born to Audie Lee Smith and Hazel May (Sageser) Smith. She was raised in Seminole and attended Seminole Schools, graduating in 1948. Wanda married the love of her life and best friend, Art Rounsavill. She began working at the 1st National Bank in Perry. After nearly 5 years, she started a career with the US Employees Credit Union, retiring as a loan officer after a long and distinguished career. When not working, Wanda enjoyed maintaining her home and tending to her flower gardens. She collected antiques, and was an avid OU Sooner football fan. In the late 1990's, Wanda moved to Purcell to be closer to her brother Carl. She was a proud member of the Gladiolus Garden Club in Purcell and a member of the Union Hill Baptist Church. Wanda was a kind and loving person and a good friend to all. She will be dearly missed! She was preceded in death by: Her husband, Art Rounsavill and Her parents, Audie Lee and Hazel May Smith. Wanda leaves behind: 3 brothers, Carl R. Smith and wife Joyce of Purcell, Robert L. Smith of OKC and Don E. Smith of Midwest City; Nieces & Nephews, Robb and Phoebe Brummett of Purcell, Cary and Meredith Smith of Purcell, Kelly and Shelly Smith of Nashville, TN, Rene York of Southfork, CO and Anna Finch of Midwest City; Special friends, Robert Young of Purcell, Betty Ackley of Tulsa and Roena Rowe of Southfork, CO and A host of other family and friends. Graveside Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at the Arlington Memory Gardens Cemetery in Midwest City. Arrangements by Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell.
