Beryl Arthur Putnam, Sr.

Saturday, June 22nd, 1929 - Thursday, April 9th, 2020

Beryl Arthur Putnam Sr., 90, passed from this life Thursday, April 9, 2020. He was born June 22, 1929 in Strang, OK, the son of Marion Wayne Putnam and Erma Della Price. After graduating 8th grade he worked on his family's farm and as a mechanic in Joplin, MO. In 1959 he moved to Oklahoma from Joplin, Missouri where he worked for Walls Wheel and Alignment for 30 years. He retired in 1989. He and Eileen (Sutton) Putnam were married January 31, 1950 and had two sons, Beryl "Buster" Putnam Jr. and William Putnam. He and Eileen were married for 69 years. Beryl loved going to church and loved to worship with his family. He was a member of Southmoore Baptist Church. You could always find him following behind Eileen in whatever she was doing at the church! He loved his family with all his heart.
He is preceded in death by:
  • his wife Eileen Putnam;
  • his parents Marion and Erma Putnam;
  • his sisters Mary Ella Whetstone and Sue Nell Casteel;
  • his brothers Wayne Putnam and Ray Putnam;
  • and his grandson in love Woody Frazee.
Left to cherish his memory are:
  • his two sons; Beryl "Buster" Putnam Jr. and wife Mary; Bill Putnam and wife Teri;
  • grandchildren, Nathan Putnam, Lori Frazee, Tim Putnam and wife Shevaun;
  • great grandchildren, Deacon and Delaynie Frazee, Madeline, Alex, Jacob, and Claire Putnam;
  • his sister Mae Crowder, a host of nieces and nephews and numerous friends.
