James Alan Pittman

James Alan Pittman, 55, of Midwest City, passed away suddenly on October 21, 2009. James was born on May 1, 1954 in Hokkaido Japan, to Walter E. and Nobuko (Onuma) Pittman. James is survived by his father, Walter E., brother, Robert E. and wife Joyce M. of Nicoma Park; sisters, Barbara A. Jarrell of Moore, OK and Carol J. Pittman of Oklahoma City, OK; sons, Brandon J. Pittman and wife Heather of Irving, TX; Derek J. Pittman of Irving, TX; daughter, Deserea Pittman; grandsons, Damon and Dillon of Irving, TX; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Nobuko (Onuma) Pittman. James's lifelong career was that of a computer analyst and recently worked for the Salvation Army. He touched his family, friends and all those around him with his courtesy, kindness and his generosity. He always has a smile for everyone and liked to pull jokes on those close to him. James was also a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the Choctaw Church of the Nazarene. Services will be held Monday, October 26, at 2:00 at Barnes Friederich Funeral Home, 1820 S. Douglas Blvd., Midwest City, OK with graveside services at Arlington Memory Gardens, 3400 N. Midwest Blvd., Midwest City.
