Blake Barrett Meek

July 11, 1921 - June 12, 2009

Blake Barrett Meek, 87 of Choctaw, passed away on Friday, June 12, 2009 at the Midwest City Nursing Center. He was born to Ersel and Annie Maud (Barrett) Meeks on July 11, 1921 in Wynnewood, OK. He was a Junior High Industrial Arts Teacher in the Choctaw School System. He also was a W.W. II Navy veteran. Blake is survived by his two sons Gene Meek & wife Cindy of Choctaw, and David Meek of Oklahoma City, 2 granddaughters, Shannon Hackney, and Michelle Costa, 6 grandchildren, sister Alice Marie Armstrong. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Nina Fae, granddaughter Amy Meek, brother Guy Meek, and sister Barbara Smith.
