Janie A. Meadows

April 2, 1923 - January 6, 2019

Janie A. Meadows was born April 2, 1923 in Claiborne Parish, Louisiana. She was the daughter of Luther B. Robinson and Mary F. Harris. She passed away January 6, 2019 at Meadowlake Estates at age 95.
Janie was an expert cake decorator and was employed by several bakeries including Alberton’s bakery in the Del City-Midwest City area. She also enjoyed traveling, quilting, and music. Janie learned to play the piano as a child. Her children and grandchildren were the joy of her life, and she enjoyed teaching Sunday school.
Janie married Hobart Rayon (Ray) Meadows (d. 2014) on March 2, 1945 in Bossier City, Louisiana. They had four sons: Bobby Ray (Carol), Oklahoma City, Jerry Ryan (Debbie), Dover, FL, Michael Patrick (d. 2014), (Becky), Yukon, OK, and David Grant (Linda), Moore, OK; five grandchildren, Jeffrey Meadows (Allison), Sophia Waite (Chris), Michael Meadows (Misty), Aaron Meadows (April), Janie Marie Norman (Seth), nine great-grandchildren: Hunter Ray and Cameron Meadows, Hunter Underwood, Tysen David Norman, Jacob and Koby Evans, Grant and Lily Waite, Nolan Meadows, and one great-great-grandchild, Ella Evans. Janie is also survived by her first cousin, Eva Meryl Belcher, Shreveport, LA.
