Lorene A. McMahan

January 19, 1929 - January 22, 2021

Lorene A. McMahan of Midwest City, OK, passed away on 22 Jan 2021 due to complications from dementia. She was born 19 January 1929 in Ft Towson, OK, to Willie "Clarence" Adams and Mary E. Holden Adams. She grew up in Ft Towson and Swink, OK, but after graduation moved to Oklahoma City, OK, to attend Blackwood Business College. She worked various jobs prior to working at Tinker AFB Pass & ID. In the meantime, she met and married William "Bill" H. McMahan and they married on 6 Nov 1948 and were married for 56 years until his death in July 2005. She was an active member at First Christian Church of Midwest City and served her church and community in many ways. After leaving Tinker AFB employment, and while raising her family she eventually became an Avon representative for 20 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, six siblings, Claramae Adams, Hoyt, Houston, Hobert, Clariece Anderson and Imogene Blackshere.
She is survived by her two children, daughter Sue L. Dorsey and husband Dan, William H. McMahan Jr and wife Sandy; three granddaughters, Christina D. Miller and husband Chris, Rebekah L. Vandiver and husband Adam, and Angela M. McMahan; three great grandchildren, Isaac, Daniel and Carolynn Miller; one sister, Navada Smith and many nieces and nephews.
Ford Funeral Home will have viewing available on Monday, 25 Jan 2021, from 10:30 am to 6:00 pm at 305 S. Sooner Rd, Midwest City, OK. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, 26 Jan 2021, 10:00 am at the First Christian Church of Midwest City, OK, 11950 East Reno Ave, Midwest City, OK 73130 followed by burial at Arlington Memory Gardens. Rev Gary Mitchell and Dr Les Brown will officiate the services. Memorial donations can be made to First Christian Church of Midwest City, OK.
