Eula Mae Little

April 29, 1915 - January 9, 2010

Eula Mae Little went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, January 9th, 2010. She was born April 29th, 1915, in Simpson, Oklahoma, to Ives and Cordelia Lindsey. She married Wilbern Travis Little on September 30th, 1933 and raised their children Wilburn Travis and Wilma Faye while he served in the United States Army during World War II. Known affectionately as Ma Little to all who knew her, she was a beautiful example of Christian commitment and service. A long-time homemaker, she helped raise four generations of off-spring. When husband Wilbern, passed away, in 1989, they had been married 56 years. Her son, Travis, died in 1999. She also outlived grandson Travis Gayland Little, great-grandsons J. R. Little, Tyson Goolsby and great-great grandson Troy Breeden. She was also preceded in death by her parents, brothers Joe and Arthur Lindsey and son-in-law Arnold Shelton. Grandma is survived by daughter Faye Shelton, daughter-in-law Betty Little, sister-in-law Novis Walters, 10 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 26 great-great grandchildren. Also, a host of other family and friends mourn her passing. Her faith, a belief in Jesus Christ as the Son of God, was the most important aspect of Grandma Little's life. She read her Bible and prayed every day. We will miss those prayers and petitions to God on our behalf. The family wishes to especially thank Quality Life Hospice, Sheila Fletcher and Debbie Cottrell of Crystal Place for their special care during Grandma's final days. The family would like to receive friends is from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at the funeral home. Services will be held at 2 PM, Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at Barnes Friederich Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Arlington Memory Gardens, Midwest City, Oklahoma.
