Olive Lee Irvine

May 31, 1921 - December 18, 2013

Olive Lee Irvine died Wednesday, December 18, 2013 in OKC, OK. Born to Lee Colvin and Becky Crossley in Quinton, OK may 31, 1921. The oldest of nine children, Olive spent her early years helping to care for her brothers & sisters on the family farm near Stonewall, OK until her marriage to Woodrow Wilson Boles. Ollie and Will traveled extensively with their children in the early years of their marriage until an oil field accident left Will disabled after which they made their home in Akron, Co. Ollie worked outside the home at the Rexall and Schafer drug stores and as a caregiver for numerous families in the Akron area. In her "spare time" Ollie spent countless hours in her upholstery shop at home with Will and in the kitchen where they enjoyed cooking and canning. Ollie enjoyed sewing, making many clothes for herself, her daughter, her granddaughter, and a beloved doll named "Barbie". Olive was baptized in the united Methodist Church in Akron, Co. Ollie "retired" and she and Will moved to their "Ranchette" near Gore, OK in 1982 where she cared for him until his death in 1986. Ollie loved her home enjoying working around the property and watching the birds. Ollie remarried offering companionship and loving end of life care to US Air Force retired Major Harvey Lakey and retired Bristow, OK businessman, John Irvine. Who both preceded her in death. Ollie remained at her home in Gore, OK until failing health forced her to move to OKC in 2011 where she resided until her death. Olive was preceded in death by her parents, an infant brother, a younger sister Kathrine, brothers Ernest and John Crossley, brother-in-law William Sadler and the love of her life and husband of 47 years, Woodrow Wilson Boles. Survived by- Daughter- Virginia and husband Gaston Munoz, El Paso TX Son- Rodney and wife Linda Boles, Canyon City CO Grandson- Terry Vaughn, Akron CO Granddaughter- Tammy Curtis, Yuma CO Sister- Kathryn Sadler, Midwest City, OK Brothers " Daniel and wife Jean Crossley, Moore OK Lee and wife Nina Crossley, Del City, OK Jimmy and wife Jackie Crossley, OKC, OK Plus two step grandchildren Jason and Nicki, Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
