Vernon F. Hodges

November 19, 1954 - March 25, 2013

Vernon F. (Buddy) Hodges, Jr., age 58, passed away on March 23, 2013 of congestive heart failure. He was preceded in death by his father and is survived by mother, Billie Hodges, wife Terry Lynn Hodges and daughter Kaitlin, step son Joshua Landers and wife Katie and grandchildren, Wyatt and Elliott Kate Landers. Also, he is survived by sisters, Barbara Nichols and Linda Horn, brother, Terry M. Hodges and their families. He is retired from OG&E. Buddy was very outgoing and never met a stranger. He was well liked by all he came in contact with. He will always be remembered as a wonderful husband and loving father. He loved raising a garden every year and playing with the four dogs he called "The Boys," Max, Murphy, Mason and Moe. He especially enjoyed being involved in his daughter's sports events and will be missed as a boisterous fan at all the games. He was an active member at Choctaw Road Baptist Church and enjoyed the camaraderie of his Sunday school class. Services will be held on Tuesday, March 26, at 10:00 a.m. at Choctaw Road Baptist Church with burial at Arlington Cemetery.
