Jack Dempsey Harbolt

November 12, 1922 - August 23, 2009

Jack D. Harbolt, 86 of Midwest City, went to meet his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Aug. 23, 2009 at his home. Jack was born Nov. 12, 1922 in Lindsay, OK to Elmer and Maude Harbolt. He loved his Country and was very proud to have served in the United States Marine Corps during WWII where he received three Purple Hearts. Jack retired from Tinker AFB after 33 years of service. He was member of the Midwest Blvd. Christian Church. His disability didn't damper his zest for enjoying life. He loved his Marine Reunions, hunting, fishing and traveling. Jack is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and his wife Cassie and a son-in-law, Mike Groves. Jack is survived by Wilma, his wife of the home and her two sons Dan and Scott Hindman and their families; his son, Jim Harbolt with wife, Diana; daughter, Jackie Groves; grandsons Todd Harbolt with wife Janet; Brent Harbolt; Chris Groves with wife Amy and granddaughter, Jennifer Solomon, Jack was also blessed with 5 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Fri., Aug 28, 2009 at Barnes Friederich Funeral Home Chapel. A military burial will be held at Arlington Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family requests memorial donations be made to the D.A.V. or the American Cancer Society.
