Martha Jane Fowler

Martha Jane Fowler, 86, passed away on July 9, 2010. Martha was born at home on October 12, 1923 near Adair, OK to Roy McKinley and Grace (Weaver) Brown. Martha was the third of fifteen children. She attended Adair schools and was active in Adair Holiness Church as a Minister's daughter. Martha married Joseph Benjamin Fowler in Miami, OK on July 19, 1983, and they shared 26 wonderful years together. She and Joe were active in the Gospel Tabernacle Church for many years. She enjoyed fishing, singing, and traveling. Martha was preceded in death by her parents; siblings: Roy Jr., Paul, Marvin, David, Anna Grace Brown, and Ruby Johnson. Survivors include her husband, Joe; adopted son, Gary Brammer; and she embraced Joe's six children; siblings: Louis, Raymond, Don, Jim and Verna Brown, Aleene Edwards, Mazie Morrison, and Naomi Hogan. She had an unforgettable, joyful laugh and was greatly loved. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, July 12, 2010, at the Gospel Tabernacle at 9115 NE 36th, Spencer, OK. Interment will follow at Arlington Memory Gardens
