Joy Suzanne DeShano

July 20, 1940 - May 20, 2012

Joy Suzanne DeShano was born on July 20, 1940 in Flint Michigan and passed away on May 18 2021 at the age of 71. Suzy, as she was known by her friends and family, was the daughter of Mary Jane Case and Wilferd J. DeShano. She worked 30 years as a Civil Servant for the Social Security Department mostly as a supervisor in the Federal Building in downtown Oklahoma City. Suzy was a very loving, caring and beautiful person who always enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Suzy always brought a kind smile, spirit and word to all those she was with. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her. Suzy was preceded in death by both of her parents. She is survived by her sister Judy Gundy and her husband Ray ; Niece Kari Long and her husband Jim; Nephews Mike Gundy and wife Kristen, Cale Gundy and wife Kristi; Great Nieces; Savannah, Karolyne and Madisyn Long and Cat Gundy; Great Nephews; K.C., Gavin, Gunnar and Gage Gundy as well as her best friend of 50 years Jaye Maxwell and family. Graveside services will be Tuesday, May 22, 10 am at Arlington Cemetery in Oklahoma City, OK.
