Hazel J. (Tucker) Cavaness

March 21, 1919 - March 13, 2020

Hazel J. (Tucker) Cavaness, 100, passed away March 13, 2020 in Oklahoma City. She was born March 21, 1919, in Noble, Oklahoma to James Roberts and Mary Abigail Huffman.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Wilfred Marion Tucker and her second husband, Daniel M. Cavaness, Jr. and her daughter, Leslie Carol Bradley.
Hazel's immediate family includes 2 surviving sons, Ronald E. Tucker and wife Janet, and Gary D. Tucker and wife Barbara. She was blessed with 9 grandchildren, Stacey and husband Fred D'Lizarraga, Truman Coe and wife Dena, William (Buddy) Tucker and Wife Yvonne, Shelly and husband Kevin Erwin, Kelli and husband Kevin Hill, Teresa and husband Joey Dunlap, Donald Bradley, Jr., Gary Tucker, Jr. and wife Becky, Chris Tucker and wife Dawn; 19 great-grandchildren, Wyatt D'Lizarraga, Warren D'Lizarraga, Truman Coe, Christian Coe, Roman Coe, Reya Coe, William Tucker, Emma Halcomb, Josh Halcomb, Luke Halcomb, Garett Hill and wife Meridith, Grant Hill, Jessie Hill, Tucker Dunlap, Kendyl Dunlap, Rachel Tucker, Zac Tucker, Ryleigh Tucker, Alex Tucker; and a great-great-grandchild, Fisher Hill.
Hazel was an active member of her church and volunteered for years for the Integris Baptist Hospital Volunteer Auxiliary. She also volunteered her time for the Oklahoma County Mental Health Association. Hazel worked tirelessly during World War II for the United States government.
Services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Monday, March 16, 2020 in the chapel of Buchanan Funeral Service with interment to follow at Arlington Memory Gardens, Midwest City.
