William Castle

William "Bill" Castle was born June 13, 1936 in Hingham, Massachusetts to Irene and Harold Castle. He passed away Wednesday, November 26, 2003 at his home south of Cheyenne, Oklahoma at the age of 67 years, 5 months and 12 days.
Bill grew up in Massachusetts and entered the U.S. Air Force when he was 18 years old. He made the military his career, serving his country during the Vietnam War. He retired after 23 years of service and then entered the civil service for 10 years at Edwards Air Force Base. He was married to Rita DiPaola at Las Vegas, Nevada on August 27, 1988 and they lived in Lancaster, California before moving to Oklahoma in 1991 and settling south of Cheyenne to make their home. Bill was currently the manager of the Cheyenne Housing Authority.
Bill served as the Post Commander for Cheyenne VFW and American Legion.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife. He is survivewd by three daughters: Angela Castle of Moore, Oklahoma; Penny Manning of MaQuoketa, Iowa and Dottie Castle of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one brother Jackie Castle of Massachuses; two sisters; nine Grandchildren; three great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
Visitation was held at Rose Chapel Funeral Service through Sunday, November 30, 2003. Graveside services were held on Tuesday, December 2, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. At Arlington Cemetery, Midwest City, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service.
