Tommie Garwood Casey, 96, passed away Sunday, October 18th. Born November 7, 1912 to William and Beulah Garwood. She was a member of the Midwest Boulevard Christian Church for many years. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Jan and Greg Ellis, many cousins and great nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents of Ada, OK, 3 brothers, Turner Garwood of Dallas, TX, Tony Garwood of Corpus Christi, TX and Mack Garwood of Ada, OK and husband, Mark Casey. Tommie was a very special and loving lady and will be missed greatly by her many friends and family. Tommie was a retired teacher where she taught 2nd grade at Country Estates Elementary School for 22 years. Following her retirement as a teacher she worked at the Midwest City Tag Agency. Tommie lived alone until age 91, when she moved to Arbor House Assisted Living in Midwest City. The last 5 years of her life were some of her happiest because of the many friends she met and the staff at Arbor House. Our deepest gratitude goes to the Staff at Arbor House and Crossroads Hospice Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at Barnes Friedrich Funeral Home Chapel interment to follow at Arlington Memory Gardens.
