Bettye Jean Brown

April 30, 1938 - August 10, 2016

Bettye Jean Brown went to be with her Lord on August 10, 2016 after a short battle with cancer. She was 78 years old. Celebration services will be held on Monday, August 15, 2016 at Sunnylane Southern Baptist Church at 1:30 pm with Pastor Greg Mikes, officiating. Burial will be Arlington Memory Gardens.
Bettye was born on April 30, 1938 in Granite, Oklahoma to Roy and Wastella (Chapman) Schave. She graduated from Midwest City High School in 1956. Bettye married the love of her life Bobby W. Brown on October 4, 1957 in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Together they spent over 58 years together. She was an Air Force wife that supported her husband around the world for 26 years. They had one daughter Cheryl.
Bettye enjoyed reading, crocheting, word search and rocking babies. She was an active member of her church where she served in the nursery for 20 years loving on babies.
She is survived by her husband Bobby of the home; daughter, Cheryl and Greg Mikes of Del City; granddaughters Amy and husband Chuck Reddout of Moore and Emilee Little of Oklahoma City. Great grandchildren Braden Mikes, Brylen Stewart, Baylor Stewart, and Averi Little. Bettye is also survived by her sister Carolyn Allen of Reno, NV; brother Jerry Schave of Houston, TX, nieces Roxann Neuman, Nechol Cato, and Kerri Reed as well as many extended family and friends.
Preceded in death by her parents Roy and Wastella Schave; nephew, Jerry Schave, Jr.; sister-in-law Lily Schave.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to, The Spero Project - New Land Academy, PO Box 2243 Oklahoma City, OK 73101.
Family will receive visitors from 4:00-6:00 on Sunday, August 14th at Ford Funeral Home.
