Lillian Christine Blalock

Lillian Christine Blalock, 90, of Midwest City, Oklahoma passed away Saturday, January 7, 2012 at St. Anthony's Hospital, Oklahoma City. She was born July 19, 1921 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Roy Henry Wright and Adelia O"Brien Wright. She was married for 30 years to John Jackson Blalock who passed away on February 4, 1974. Survivors include her children, Thomas Leon Blalock and his wife Barbara of Edmond, Okla., Janice Ellen Campbell and her husband Donald of Murchison, Texas, Adelia Ann Gonzales and her husband Thomas of Santa Fe, N.M and Mary Etta Blalock of St. Louis, Mo.; 15 grandchildren - Ramona Forbis, Christian Blalock, Donald Jamison, Thomas J. Blalock, Kelly Beth Hancock, John J. Blalock, Timothy W. Blalock, Michael Campbell, Kristi Johnson, Carrie Lawrence, J. Trevor Reeves, Brooke Mendoza, Jeffrey Ward, Megan Ward, Anna Ward and 14 great grandchildren- Tyler Brown, Morgan Blalock, Katelyn Thibodeaux, Karli Nicole Blalock, Kathryn Elizabeth Blalock, Chase Andrew Blalock, William Thomas Blalock, Braxton Cole Hancock, Bailey Elizabeth Hancock, Milla Amara Mendoza, Jack Desmond Mendoza, Katherine Simpson Bruce, Madison Elizabeth Lawrence, and Jake Ryan Lawrence. She was also preceded in death by two of her children, Donald Edward Blalock and Teci June Blalock; three brothers, Leon, Eugene, and Herman Wright; and four sisters, Lucille Mallory, Margaret Reece, June Cox, and Dorothy Lee Wright. Christine has been a Midwest City resident since 1947. She worked at Tinker Air Force Base and Rose's Restaurant. She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed gardening. Funeral services will be conducted at 2pm Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at Barnes Friederich Funeral Home, 1820 South Douglas Boulevard, Midwest City, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Arlington Memory Gardens, 3400 N. Midwest Blvd., Midwest City, Oklahoma. Pallbearers include Thomas J. Blalock, Kevin Hancock, Gary Cheek, Jeffrey Ward, Christian Blalock and Trevor Reeves. Mrs. Blalock's family would like to express their appreciation to Bradford Village Assisted Living and Crossroads Hospice.
