Wilma Jean Bateman

August 24, 1927 - March 10, 2020

Wilma Jean Bateman (Stone) passed on to her Lord May 10 after a series of illnesses over several months. She was born Aug 24, 1927 in Springfield, Mo where she graduated from high school. She was offered an opportunity to attend college but instead chose to marry Edwin Bateman on Feb 2, 1946. Being part of a military family, her career was primarily that of homemaker and chief move coordinator as the family moved to various Air Force bases. She and Ed were married for over 64 years until his passing in 2010. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her mother & father, 2 sisters, and 1 brother. She is survived by sons Ronald of Moore, Mike and wife Dana of Noble, 2 granddaughters; Michelle and husband Chad LaFerry of Guthrie, Elizabeth and husband David Phillips of Choctaw, 2 step granddaughters, 2 step grandsons, 19 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. A life well lived; Christian, loving mother now resting with her husband and Lord.
The family requests that in lieu flowers donations be made to either of the following; Country Estates Baptist Church – Lottie Moon Fund or Heartland Free Will Baptist Church – China Missions.
