Edwin H. Bateman

Edwin H. Bateman, age 88, went to be with his Lord on August 3, 2010. He was born August 11, 1921 in Sparta, MO, and moved to Springfield, MO, at about age 2. Ed married Wilma J. Stone on February 2, 1946. He retired from the Air Force after 22 yrs. and then worked for Civil Service for 20 yrs. He was a Deacon at Country Estates Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, 14 siblings and one great-granddaughter. Survived by his wife, Wilma; 2 sons, Ronald and wife Gloria and Mike and wife Dana; 2 granddaughters, 5 great-grandchildren, 1 step granddaughter, 1 step grandson, and 3 step great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Friday August 6, 2010 at Bill Eisenhour SE Chapel. In lieu of flowers donations may be made at Country Estates Baptist Church. Condolences may be offered at www.eisenhourfuneralhome.com
