Mary Louise "Lou" Ake

Our beloved wife, mother, and Mee-Maw, Mary Louise Ake , entered Heavens Gates on February 17, 2008. She was born on August 10, 1925, in Mobile, AL to Ollie Valentine and Julia Ester (O'Brien) Galle. Lou's passion was going to the Midwest City Senior Center and enjoying all her many friends. She never met a craft she didn't like! Lou had an unforgettable southern drawl, bright blue eyes and a vibrant smile that captivated anyone she encountered. Lou is survived by her husband, Leslie Jack Ake ; 2 daughters, Nancy Edmonds of Rowlett, TX, and Renee and husband Jerry Pershica of OKC; 3 step-children, Leslie Jack, III, Donna, and Paul Ake ; 6 grandchildren, Lisa (Brian) Land, John (Deena) Edmonds, Kaleb (Tonya) Pershica, Joshua (Kelley) Pershica, Patricia Edmonds, and Nancy (John) Bean; 8 great-grandchildren, Brittnee, and Kaylee Edmonds, Jack, Luke, and Malia Land, Julia Pershica, Heather (Andrew) Eastwood, and Mary Beth Bean; 1 sister, June Ewton of Bay City, TX; her little "fur baby" boy, Toy; many nieces, nephews, and friends. Services will be held on Thursday, February 21, 2008, at 12 pm, at Candlewood Chapel, under the direction of Ford Funeral Service. Interment will follow at Arlington Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, Lou requested that donations be made to the charity of your choice.
