Barbara June Claunch Davis Chapel Hill Funeral Home
Barbara June Davis was born on August 19, 1938 in Marshall, OK to Mary June and Bob Claunch and left this world to be with our Lord on October 16, 2011 at the age of 73.
Barbara was a proud graduate of Guthrie High School and after graduation moved to the YWCA in Oklahoma City and attended Business College. In February 1959 she began her first secretarial job at General Electric and met her true love, Dave Davis. They married on November 21, 1959 and established residency in Oklahoma City. She worked many years in the wholesale office supply industry and spent the last 18 years of her career at the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Drug Control.
She is survived by her husband, Dave; daughter, Leandra June Rogers; step-children Lynda Schiff and David Kent Schiff; grandchildren Heather Schiff, Gary Lee Rogers, and Kymbra June Rogers. Barbara was known to everyone as "Mema" and is also survived by lots of "Mema's Kids."
The family will be receiving guests at the funeral home on Wednesday October 19th from 4 to 6pm and services celebrating Barbara's life will be held at 2pm at Chapel Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens (8701 N. W. Expressway) on Thursday October 20, 2011.
