Terry Ray Scrutchfield a resident of Tulsa passed away on January 13, 2016 in Tulsa at the age of 61. Born September 16, 1954 in St Louis, Missouri to Robert and June (Walker) Scrutchfield. He married Marla Hull on September 3, 1977 at the Weleetka First Baptist Church.
Terry was a man of many talents playing the guitar, harmonica, mandolin, banjo and fiddle/violin. He worked in management dealing with heavy equipment; at one time he managed and owned a Fork Lift Company. Other hobbies included being outdoors hunting and fishing. He was a member of the NRA and did some ranching from time to time. He was good with his hands in being a mechanic, able to repair about anything. That earned him the title of “Crew Chief” in top fuel drag racing.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Brothers in laws; Larry Ketcher, Ralph Silverwood and Jerry Reeder. Sister in law: Linda Scrutchfield
Survived by his wife Marla Scrutchfield of the home
Brother in law: Glenn Hull and wife Jayne of Tishomingo, OK
Mother in law: Betty Hull of Weleetka
Sisters: Barbara Crawley and husband Butch of Weleetka, Bobanna Reeder of Owasso, Susan Chapman and husband Craig of Owasso and Carol Williams and husband James of Henryetta. Brothers: Robert Scrutchfield Jr and wife Debbie of Oklahoma City and Ron Scrutchfield and wife Lynn of Eufaula
Host of Nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
“When you donate your organs you give someone the most precious gift-a chance to live” Terry and his family have participated in Donate Life, the Oklahoma Organ Sharing Network.
Graveside service will be Saturday, January 16, 2016 at the Hillcrest Cemetery, Weleetka, OK. Services are under the direction of the Rogers Funeral Home.
