Funeral services for Ella VanMeter, 64, of Henryetta will be held Wed., June 13, at 10 a..m. at the Arbeka Indian Baptist Church Arbor. The Rev. John Lowe will officiate. Internment will be in the Arbeka Cemetery under the direction of the Merritt Funeral Service Cottage Chapel.

Mrs. VanMeter was born July 30, 1925 in Wilson, Oklahoma and died July 9 at the Tulsa Regional Medical Center.

She was a homemaker and long standing member of the VFW and American Legion Auxiliary.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Fred VanMeter who died in 1978; and her parents Thomas and Lillie Stand.

Surviving relatives are: one daughter, Theda Chavarria of New Mexico; two sons, Fleshman Fields Jr. of Henryetta and Merle Fields of Choctaw; two sisters, Katricia Critchlow and Alberta Slone, eight grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, and 4 great-granddaughters.

Active pallbearers will be Denning Fields, Brian Fields, Tony Chavarria, Dino Chavarria, Ron Fisher and Dave Fisher.
