The memorial services celebrating and honoring the life of Robert Victor "Bob" Zolnierz, 74, of Enid, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 20, 2022, at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church. Complete cremation care and services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
Bob was born on January 6, 1948, to Walter and Lucia (De Couto) Zolnierz in New Bedford, Massachusetts, and passed from this life on August 3, 2022, in Enid, Oklahoma.
He was raised and educated in New Bedford, Massachusetts, graduating from Bishop Stang High School with the class of 1965. He went on to graduate from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy in 1970 as a pharmacist. He achieved his first master's degree from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy. He worked for the Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, RI, and the South Shore Hospital in Massachusetts.
He married Suzanne Trudeau on May 20, 1977, in Swansea, Massachusetts; from this union came two children. They then moved to Virginia, where he worked as the Assistant Director at Winchester Medical Center. He attended Shenandoah University where he achieved his MBA. The couple moved to Beaumont, Texas where he worked for Baptist Hospital of Southeast Texas as the Director of Pharmacy. From there the couple moved to Hays, Kansas, where he was the Director of Pharmacy at Hays Medical Center; Hawaii, where he was the Director of Pharmacy at St. Francis Medical Center; Kingman, Arizona, where he worked at Kingman Regional Medical Center; and lastly to Enid, Oklahoma, where he was the Director of Pharmacy at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center for thirteen years until his retirement in 2018.
He was a member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church. He enjoyed golfing and computer games and loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife Suzanne Zolnierz, of the home; his children Marc and his wife Kathryn of Hays, KS, Melissa and her husband Travis of Joplin, MO; grandchildren Joseph and Emily; and brother Michael and his wife Phyllis of Swansea, MA, and their three children Jennifer, Matthew, and Daniel.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorials may be made in his honor to the Enid Cat Clinic, with Brown-Cummings serving as custodian of the funds.
